Grandkids Sleepover

For those of you that don't do instagram we're posting a couple of shots from last night and this morning when A & a stayed overnight.

Oregonians

We have moved to Beaverton, OR (a suburb of Portland) and have decided to stay in one place for a while.  Since retiring in July, Helen and I have enjoyed splitting time between California, Oregon and Oklahoma but Portland is starting to feel like home and being within a few miles of our grandchildren is great.  P and V have bought a larger home and we are renting their smaller 2 bedroom house.  While our eventual plan is to buy or build across the river in Washington, our current setup is sweet and we are not in a great hurry to play with moving boxes again.  In the mean time getting to know the Pacific Northwest and spoiling the little ones is making for some full days.  (We are also looking forward to our entire immediate family meeting in Tulsa for Thanksgiving)

Homeless

Just a short note.  We finalized the sale of our Yorba Linda home on August first.  We are currently in Tulsa assisting my parents as my father goes through chemotherapy.  We will be heading to Portland the first week of September to help P & V move into their new home there.

Hopefully we will be notifying you of a new address soon.

Croquet at the Fort

Fort De Corte (Pat/Mike's) hosted food and fun on Memorial Day Sunday.  Thanks to the many families who've given much for our liberties.

Portland in May

We just got back from 5 days in Portland;  babysat the grandkids; enjoyed swim class; hiked to Bridal Veil Falls (up near Hood River, OR) and relaxed at a wonderful picnic in the shadow of Mt. Hood.

Okie's Again

We are in the process of transplanting to Oklahoma.  BUT, I recently spent some time with the P & V and the grandkids.  Here are some shots from the visit. Ken will get to go back with me in May.  I also went to CA to finish packing our house there, but don't have any pictures from there.  I'll do better next time.
